What Size Reed Diffuser Do I Need? (And How Many Reeds to Use)
A simple guide to matching reed diffuser size and number of reeds to your room, from a small bathroom to an open-plan living space.
The most common reason a reed diffuser disappoints is simple: it's the wrong size for the room. Here's a quick guide.
By room size

More reeds = more scent, faster
Every reed pulls fragrance up and releases it. More reeds give a stronger scent, but the diffuser runs out faster. Start with fewer and add more after a few days if you want it stronger.
One big room, or two?
In open-plan homes, two diffusers placed apart (for example the entryway and the living area) work much better than one big one in the middle.
