How to Choose a Wholesale Fragrance Oil Supplier for Your Scent Machine
Buying diffuser oil in bulk for a cold-air or HVAC scent machine? What to check before you choose a supplier: concentration, safety documents, consistency and delivery.
If your business runs a cold-air or HVAC scent machine, the oil is the part you buy again and again. Choosing the right supplier saves money, protects the machine and keeps your space smelling the same every week.
1. Is the oil undiluted?
Cold-air (nebulizing) diffusers are made for 100% concentrated oil. Oils cut with water, alcohol or cheap carriers are weaker, run out faster and can clog the atomiser. Ask the supplier directly: is it neat fragrance oil?
2. Does it come with safety documents?
A professional supplier should confirm the oils are IFRA-compliant and provide a safety data sheet (SDS) for each scent. Look for phthalate-free oils, especially in spaces where clients and staff spend hours.
3. Will the scent be the same next month?
Your space becomes known by its scent. Ask how the supplier keeps batches consistent, and whether you can reorder the exact same scent every time.
4. Can you buy in the sizes you actually use?
A small salon might use a litre every few weeks; a hotel lobby far more. Look for a supplier with 500 ml, 1 L and 5 L formats, not just small retail bottles.
5. How fast does it arrive, and do duties apply?
Buying from a supplier in your own country avoids customs delays and surprise charges. In Canada, that means a Canadian supplier.
6. Can it arrive on a schedule?
